If you employ a nanny through your home then you are responsible to provide them with a contract, have employers liability insurance and provide them with all employment rights.

Nannies are a popular choice for parents however, if you employ them yourself, they can be unreliable, leave shortly after taking the job or simply not turn up for work.

You are obliged to pay the nanny for contracted hours meaning you may pay for more than you need.

ou have no responsibility when it comes to employment law - this is all dealt with by Hazel.

Hazel is very reliable so you can ensure she will be there when needed.

Emergency childcare is charged at the normal rate.

Traditional Nannies
Is self-employed as she works for many families. You can use her for as little or as much as you need so you only pay for what you use.
Are employed by the family meaning you are responsible for tax, national insurance, maternity pay and the like.
?Why choose a Nanny
  • Nannies work in your home which means your children have access to their own things and are in a comfortable environment.
  • If you have more than one child it is extremely cost effective.
  • If your child is off sick from school or nursery the Nanny is on hand to take over childcare.
  • If you're running late home from work, the nanny is there for you.
  • If you need a babysitter, the nanny will do so through prior arrangement.
  • Your children get loving, individual and personal care.
  • The nanny will take your child(ren) out of the home to do activities and visit places which are of interest to them.
  • Nannies follow your children's routine and your instructions.
  • It is the most personal childcare you can possibly get!
Want a one off nanny or babysitter?
No problem - Hazel will accomodate your families needs as much as possible. If she cannot, you can have the option of being matched with another babysitter who Hazel has met, interviewed and vetted.

Are references available?

What happens if my Hazel is unwell?

How do I pay Hazel?

Both written and verbal references can be arranged.
Hazel will let your family know as soon as possible if there is any reason why she may not be able to work. Hazel has many contacts that she may be able to arrange to cover her.
You will be invoiced by Hazel's Professional Childcare for Hazel's wage to be paid by bank transfer.

Does Hazel charge more for more children?

Is Hazel willing to be interviewed?

What if I want to terminate the service?

No, not from the same family. It is a set hourly rate however, if there is a 'nanny share' wherby you are using a nanny for two families, both families would need to pay the registration fee and agency charges.
Yes! And it is greatly encouraged to ensure that the partnership will work.
You are free to terminate at any time with at least a weeks notice to Hazel if consistent childcare has been agreed. She would then send you your final invoice.
